YMCA Youth Chance High School
Youth Chance High School is a non-tuition private school operated continuously by the Embarcadero YMCA since 1977. Young people, ages 16-21, who have been referred by school principals, social workers, friends, and probation officers, find an environment in which they can learn and succeed. The curriculum emphasizes the GED, financial literacy and employment readiness training. It also includes study skills, independent living skills, critical thinking, personal growth and awareness, and paid work experiences
YMCA Flex Program
FLEX (Fitness Leadership Experience) is a free program aimed at increasing the health and fitness awareness of San Francisco's high school youth. The FLEX program was created to expose teens who have little to no physical activity on a regular basis to a fun, interesting, cooperative, health and fitness environment. Here teens can gain instruction and advice on healthy eating and exercise habits as well as learn how to incorporate healthy living measures into their everyday life.
YMCA OMI Food pantry
The YMCA OMI Food Pantry Family Resource Center is open every Tuesday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, distributing food to the community. It also provides emergency food to community residents.
Each YMCA association offers unique programs to serve the needs of their community; each community has children, teens, and families that need your help. We encourage you to invest in a child today.
